Coronavirus – Assistance for your Leadership/Managerial Team during the current situation

These are unprecedented times for us all, both personally and in the workplace, with every single one of us experiencing this severe life event.
Many businesses have already asked their employees to work remotely from home and while some will find this an interesting new experience, many will find it hard to adjust to such a major sudden change, which will inevitably impact on their daily routines as well as their personal and professional relationships.
Not everyone will rise to the challenge and some will struggle with the unexpected social isolation, lack of structure and big differences in the way they have to carry out their work tasks and relate to their colleagues.
There are huge considerations regarding the relationships between staff and their managers; indeed, some managers may not have normally approved of remote flexible working and will worry that it threatens staff productivity.
Each and every working relationship will need to evolve rapidly in order to cope with potential new pressures such as communication and trust between managers and staff when they cannot actually see each other and what they are doing on a daily basis. Indeed, not everyone will be able to manage such issues sensitively and there is potential for conflict.
The mental health & wellbeing of your workforce, top to bottom, requires careful consideration and support in order to prevent emotional stresses from loneliness or psychological issues such as anxiety and depression and, of course, bereavement at this particularly difficult time, as well as to ensure positive working relationships and to maintain employee commitment, performance and retention for the future of your business.
Lincoln Occupational Health is able to offer flexible remote online sessions with their Consultant Clinical Psychologist, whether as a one-off basis or as a number of sessions, using Skype, Zoom, WhatsApp or FaceTime video in addition of course to telephone calling.
These confidential sessions are designed in particular for your leaders and managers to support them personally, as well as to give them time to explore and reflect on any leadership and management issues they are experiencing. This will, in turn, allow then to better support their teams.
Sessions are charged at a flat rate of £160 per hour. Double sessions may also be helpful to anyone experiencing a major difficulty or in crisis.
In addition to the above Leadership/Management sessions, Lincoln Occupational Health can also arrange for ad hoc counselling and support for mental health support and advice, which can be available to offer to your entire workforce.
